This directory will list the public officials and offices that serve Texas communities — names, the office held, and public contact information — each tied to a published source and the date we retrieved it. We are building it county by county, the same way we build the coverage ledger: we publish what is verified and plainly mark what is not yet sourced.
Directory coverage in progress
We're sourcing public official records county by county. In the meantime, the fastest way to reach the right office is through your county election office.
Reach your local offices now
You don't have to wait for the directory. Start with your own geography and the official county source:
- Find my districts — see your county and its election office in one step.
- Your county elections office maintains current official contacts and meeting schedules.
- For state representatives, the Texas Legislature's "Who Represents Me" tool lists your state and federal officials.
How we'll publish official records
Every record in this directory will carry the same discipline as the rest of the site:
- Public sources only — official county and government pages, never private data.
- Source link and retrieval date on every record, so anyone can verify it.
- Honest gaps — offices we haven't sourced are marked, not guessed.
Called to Office is a nonpartisan civic education project and a Texas nonprofit in formation. Office and contact information is published for civic purposes from public records.
